I am challenging myself to post a picture everyday for a year! It will be a fun way to watch the 2nd year of Sawyers life go by. The first year went by too fast.

Day 184: From Cute To Cranky
When I get my camera out, all he wants to do most days is close my pop-up flash. The 2nd picture is him yelling at me because I was telling him not to.

Day 180: How Does My Hair Look?
I was unpacking and he found my flat iron. He had a great time at Grandma and Grandpas, but he happy to be home and currently zonked out in his own comfy bed.

Day 178: Happy Thanksgiving
We went to the park in the morning before the big feast. I swear he had fun on the swings. He also ate no Thanksgiving food. Silly!

Day 176: Mr. Independent
He is becoming more and more independent each day. Today he was trying to put his pants on. It was so cute. He couldn't quite get it, but he sure did try.

Day 175: This Hair
I don't know, can we make it to his 2nd birthday before he gets a haircut? (not counting a bang trim)

Day 174: This Was Our Day Today
He just wanted to be held so he could peruse the counters and try to grab things he is not supposed to have (my iphone, remotes, etc). I think he was whiney because he was bored, but it was too cold to go outside and we haven't bought him a winter coat yet (we plan to on black Friday). However, we were able to distract him with some Basketball, Duplos, and of course - Bubble Guppies. Looking forward to the long weekend!!

Day 171: Still Loves The Crocodile
He got this for his first birthday and he STILL loves it. He loves stacking the blocks and then unstacking them.

Day 169: Fall Photos
I had a grand idea to do a little shoot in front of this awesome tree in our yard, but I am not happy with how they came out. My fault, not the subject! It was total operator error, looks like I need to bust out my manual. Maybe we can have a redo later this week. Here are the "best" ones. At least Sawyer enjoyed being outside, he was totally into the leaves and kept busy by bring me some, and throwing some from the sidewalk onto the grass.

Day 168: Cooking Up Some Trouble
I love how he pretends to stir. And doesn't it look like he is looking for trouble in the 2nd photo with the whisk?

Day 167: Family Bike Ride
We tried his boots again today! He had a small meltdown, but then we distracted him enough with leaving for a bike ride so I think he forgot how much he hated them before. He loves going for bike rides, he just looks around and babbles here and there.

Day 165: He Loves to Read
He loves his own books, such as Good Night Moon and The Hungry Caterpillar, but he also loves reading his dads climbing books, too.

Day 163: Oops!
After I put Sawyer to bed I went to upload pics, and realized I forgot to put the memory card in my camera! I don't even understand how I was able to think I was taking pictures with no memory card. I guess the DSLR doesn't notify you about that stuff? Anyway, I had to sneak into his room and take a sleeping pic.

Day 162: Not A Fan Of Winter Boots
How cute are they?
Still throwing a fit AFTER I took them off.
Feeling better after a little snack
THEN, he picked up the dreaded boots and threw them in the other room with the rest of the shoes.

Day 161: Being Silly
We love afternoon playtime. I am out of focus, but that is ok. Later in the evening he got in trouble for hitting and it was one of the first times he seemed to really understand that he did something naughty. He stared at us with the poutiest face of all time and would not come to either of us for a hug. Just stood there. Pouting. For at least a full minute. It was the saddest little face. I wish I had a picture, but I was too busy trying to cover up my laughter. Mom of the year right here.
